Foundation of Young Symphonic Orchestra

Specialist School for Music becomes grammar school

Transition to state governance

Sir Yehudi Menuhin takes over patronage

Sir Colin Davis takes over patronage

Acceptance of first year 5 students

Redevelopment of former Blasewitz grammar school on Kretschmerstraße
